Rochelle, 32, met her English groom, Craig, 30, while they worked at Whistler Blackcomb in Canada. They later moved to London where Craig took her to his favourite place, in front of the Tower Bridge, and proposed. ‘We then had a lovely meal overlooking the Tower Bridge,’ the bride recalls.

Rochelle and Craig enlisted the help of wedding planner Chelsea Hall, to bring their dreams to life. 'Her schedule is like military precision and she knows what she is talking about. Our day would not have been as perfect as it was without Chelsea and it meant I didn’t have to worry about anything on the day other than getting dressed and turning up,' says the bride

The couple married in an outdoor ceremony at Clark Park, McMahons Point. ‘It has an amazing view looking right at the Harbour Bridge, which was perfect for all our visiting guests,’ Rochelle explains. She looked every bit the part for her starring role in a strapless Suzanne Neville gown with silk taffeta bodice adorned with Swarovski crystals.

The couple honoured Craig’s proud English heritage by creating a London theme for their wedding. ‘I arrived to the ceremony in a black cab, and all the guests were transported from the ceremony to the reception in a Red Routemaster bus,’ says Rochelle. They also kept with tradition by serving a grand, four-tier, white and purple wedding cake in a variety of flavours by Faye Cahill Cake Design and saving the top tier for their first child’s christening.

Rochelle and Craig seated their 104 guests at one long table in The Sun Room at The Ivy. Purple orchids ran down the centre to match the bridesmaids’ strapless Karen Millen dresses. ‘The table looked very dramatic with the single type of flower in various sized vases – a real show stopper,’ says the bride. After a seated main meal, guests enjoyed a delectable dessert bar where they could help themselves, as well as cookies in the shape of London taxis for bomboniere.

Rochelle and Craig’s save-the-date postcards, which featured a photo of the ceremony location, and their invitations in gorgeous purple pockets, set the scene for their chic city wedding. At the wedding, guests partied the night away on the dance floor to the sounds of DJ, Toby Shield, and hammed it up in the photo booth.
